ISIS - Innovative Solutions In Space was founded on January 6th, 2006 as a spin-off from the Delfi-C3 nanosatellite project from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Over the years there have been quite some developments and milestones for the company which are briefly outlined below.
During the ISILAUNCH17 launch campaign, ISISPACE engineers were responsible for the integration of 101 CubeSats onto the PSLV launch vehicle, a true world record. Among these 101 satellites, there are 3 satellites where ISISPACE played a major role in the design, development and implementation of the spacecraft. DIDO-2 and Nayif-1 were built by engineers in Delft under contract of ISISPACE customers. The PEASSS-satellite was developed as part of a consortium with the FP7 program of the European Commission.
After a decade in the small satellite business, the company has grown significantly. ISIS is happy to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a new website and a new look and feel. In particular, the products that ISISPACE has always offered through its www.cubesatshop.com portal, now feature more prominent on its own website. In addition, the website is mobile-friendly and allows visitors to directly request information on specific topics.
In 2014, ISISPACE launches 22 satellites on a single launch vehicle and builds 2 satellites in a record time of 6 months.
First fully owned ISISPACE satellite for ship tracking, TRITON-1, is launched.
ISISPACE keeps growing and delivering products and services, reaching 40 employees.
ISISPACE grows to more than 25 staff and sells multiple satellite missions.
ISISPACE moved to a larger accommodation having a dedicated ISO7 clean room and its own ground station.
In 2009, ISILaunch01 launch campaign successfully launches 4 customer satellites. CubeSatShop.com, Innovative Data Services and Innovative Space Logistics are founded.
The company was growing fast, outgrowing YES!Delft incubator building. Thus, in 2008, the company moved to a larger accommodation. Successful launch of Delfi-C3 satellite of TU Delft.
In 2007, the first employees were hired and ISISPACE made its first sale of products.
ISISPACE founders met each other at TU Delft's Delfi-C3 project. The idea for a nanosatellite company started at STEC 2005 in Aalborg. Shortly after, the ISISPACE founders enrolled in a university course on 'writing a business plan'. The ISIS business plan won a prize in the New Venture business competition. ISISPACE was founded on January 6th, 2006 and made the national news. ISISPACE joined YES!Delft, the entrepreneurship initiative from TU Delft.
