Two backpack-sized satellites search for sources of greenhouse gas

Set for launch in mid-2028, the TANGO mission is an innovative satellite system developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) to monitor global greenhouse gas emissions with unprecedented precision. Comprising two compact satellites, each the size of a backpack, TANGO (Twin Anthropogenic Greenhouse Gas Observers), built and designed by ISISPACE, will orbit the Earth just one minute apart, working in tandem to detect emissions from industrial facilities and power plants directly at their source.
