ISISPACE adds Japan’s H3 Rocket to its flight heritage list
Delft, 19th of June 2026 – ISISPACE announces the successful operation of its flight heritage launch equipment aboard Japan’s H3 launch vehicle, marking a significant milestone in the company’s support of the Japanese space ecosystem and further expanding the flight heritage of its launch solutions across international launch vehicles.
As part of H3 launch vehicle Flight No.6, the ISL53 mission launched from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) Tanegashima Space Center at 02:53 CEST (09:53 JST). H3 is Japan’s flagship launch vehicle and has been in operational service since 2023.

Through its long-standing strategic collaboration with Space BD, ISISPACE provided a customised payload adapter plate equipped with an ISISPACE QuadPack deployer and an ISISPACE Modular Deployment Sequencer (MDS) to host and deploy BRO-22, an 8U CubeSat developed by Unseenlabs from France, accommodated on the launch through Space BD. The satellite will strengthen Unseenlabs’ space-based radio-frequency detection constellation, supporting maritime surveillance and vessel tracking activities worldwide.

In addition, ISISPACE supplied a second Modular Deployment Sequencer for another payload adapter plate, named ANUBIS cluster mission. Augmenting the H3 upper stage’s command-signal capabilities, this sequencer enabled the deployment of three domestic 6U satellites integrated through Japanese deployment systems, showcasing the ISISPACE sequencer’s flexibility in commanding deployers of different makes and models.

Kohei Kojima, Senior Engineer at Space BD, said: “The success of the satellite integration for this H3 mission was made possible thanks to the cooperation of ISISPACE. Our two companies have enjoyed a long-standing, mutually beneficial cross-border partnership, and this achievement marks the significance of our relationship. This mission represented a major milestone—six satellites were launched together on a single H3 launch vehicle. This feat was achieved through ISISPACE’s sincere support and highly reliable products. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the ISISPACE team for their dedicated coordination throughout this project, including their flexibility in customising and testing their hardware to meet the specific requirements of the H3 launch vehicle. Moving forward, we are committed to further deepening this partnership and contributing to the growth of the space ecosystem in Japan, in the Asia-Pacific region, and across the globe.”
This milestone demonstrates the compatibility and reliability of ISISPACE’s launch equipment across an expanding range of launch vehicles and mission architectures. The ISISPACE QuadPack deployers and sequencers are designed to safely accommodate and deploy small satellites in a variety of launch environments. Together, these systems have supported the launch of more than 820 satellites across 70 missions worldwide, enabling reliable access to space for commercial, institutional, and scientific applications.
Daniela Hallak, head of Launch Solutions & Power Systems at ISISPACE, stated: “This mission represents an exciting milestone for ISISPACE and for our long-standing partnership with Space BD. We are proud that our deployer hardware was part of this mission, making ISISPACE the first European company to fly a deployer on H3. It is especially meaningful to add Japan’s flagship launch vehicle to ISISPACE’s growing flight heritage, while also demonstrating one of our key strengths: providing tailored launch solutions to meet mission-specific requirements. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Space BD and supporting future rideshare and small satellite missions in Japan and throughout the Asia-Pacific region.”
As Japan’s space sector continues to evolve, ISISPACE remains committed to supporting local and international partners with proven launch hardware and integration expertise. The debut aboard H3 reinforces the company’s position as an international partner for small satellite missions and launch services, while creating new opportunities for collaboration within Japan’s growing space ecosystem.
