TANGO (Twin Anthropogenic Greenhouse Gas Observers) is a European Space Agency’s mission consisting of two 16U satellites monitoring methane (CH₄), carbon dioxide (CO₂) and nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) emissions at the source level responsible for around 75% of global emissions of methane. This project takes a major step forward: it will map sources responsible for approximately 70% of greenhouse gas emissions, whereas TROPOMI only visualises 5% and measures only methane among the greenhouse gases.
