Quality Assurance Engineer (Full Time)

ISIS – Innovative Solutions In Space BV is an ambitious and dynamic company in the space sector and located in Delft, The Netherlands. ISIS develops and offers products and services for the space sector, with a focus on small satellites. The company has a strong international focus, and is a systems integrator of CubeSat and nanosatellite (<25kg) platforms. Currently, ISIS employs over 90 mechanical, electronic, software, embedded and space systems engineers.

In the fast-growing nanosatellite market, ISIS offers a broad portfolio of miniaturized components and subsystems that are both used in ISIS designed satellites and sold as standalone products to customers globally.


As a Quality Assurance Engineer you are part of the PA/QA team within ISIS. You will ensure that the company Quality Management System (QMS) is implemented and executed accordingly for standard product lines and projects. You will perform internal audits and where applicable you will define process improvements. Within the project teams, you will be performing design reviews, risk and FMEA analysis, configuration management and the management of non-conformances and the associated reports to both internal and external parties. You will perform external audits at our different suppliers for both mechanical and electrical parts based on our specific needs. Furthermore, you are familiar with environmental testing and are able to help define and improve test plans for our satellites and subsystems.


Your main responsibilities:

  • Improve and maintain the QMS based on process quality audits and internal audits.
  • Interface with manufacturing, engineering and suppliers to ensure that compliance to requirements is secured and correctly documented.
  • Audit and monitoring of current suppliers, and future candidate suppliers.
  • Chair Non Conformance Boards including planning, preparing and executing, reporting of the results and follow up to ensure closure of Non Conformancies
  • Perform risk analysis, FMEA analysis and design reviews for both projects and production items.
  • Review project documentation to ensure compliance to quality requirements.



  • Beng in Mechanics and/or Electronics or proven level through experience
  • Energetic team player with a positive mindset and excellent communication skills
  • Experienced in Quality Engineering principles, tools and methods
  • In-depth understanding of industry standards such as ECSS and/or comparable standards (ISO, AS&D)
  • Familiar with IPC standard
  • A great sense of responsibility and attention to detail
  • Success oriented and going the extra mile if needed
  • Proficient in English (speaking / reading / writing).
