In a fast-growing nanosatellite market, ISISPACE offers a broad portfolio of miniaturized components and subsystems that are both used in ISISPACE designed satellites and sold as standalone products to customers globally. Our challenging CubeSat and nanosat missions are used for a wide variety of purposes, for example testing out new technologies in space, atmospheric and climate monitoring, Internet of Things as well as deep space research.
As a Python Developer, you will work in a small and highly motivated team and will be contributing to the software automating and assisting satellite production and testing. ISISPACE maintains its own software suite for accelerating the production and testing of satellites and subsystems. The goal is to achieve a software suite that is highly adaptable and can support a broad range of production and test cases. In pursuit of this objective, you will work closely with satellite assembly and integration engineers, production engineers and subsystem experts.


Your main responsibilities:
• Expand the functionality of the existing software
• Provide inputs on improving the automation of production and testing of satellites and subsystems
• Support internal and external people using the software suite


Prerequisites:
• At minimum a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Engineering or a similar field
• Experience with software development in Python
• Experience with GUI development in Python, preferably with Qt
• Energetic team player with a positive and open mindset
• Excellent and straightforward communication skills (in English and preferably also in Dutch)
• A great sense of responsibility and commitment
• A strategic and analytical mind
• A solution driven work ethic, willing to go the extra mile if needed.


Recommended:
• Experience with satellite operational concepts
• Experience with embedded system development
• Experience with software development in C, C++ and C#
• Experience with network concepts and network programming
• Experience with relational and time-series databases
• Experience with version control (git) and issue tracking systems (GitLab)
• Interest in the space industry
• Ability to write technical documentation
