History

ISIS - Innovative Solutions In Space was founded on January 6th, 2006 as a spin-off from the Delfi-C3 nanosatellite project from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Over the years there have been quite some developments and milestones for the company which are briefly outlined below.

 

2005

  • The ISIS founders met each other at TU Delft's Delfi-C3 project
  • At STEC 2005 in Aalborg the idea for a nanosatellite company was formed
  • The ISIS founders enrolled in a university course on 'writing a business plan'
  • The ISIS business plan won a prize in the first round of the New Venture business competition

2006

  • ISIS was founded on January 6th, 2006 and made the national news
  • ISIS joined YES!Delft, the entrepeneurship initiative from TU Delft
  • ISIS had its first office

2007

  • First employee(s) hired
  • First sales of products

2008

  • Successful launch of Delfi-C3 satellite of TU Delft
  • Company growing fast, outgrowing YES!Delft incubator building
  • Move to a larger accommodation

2009

  • ISILaunch01 launch campaign, successfully launching 4 customer satellites
  • Innovative Data Services founded
  • Innovative Space Logistics founded

2010
